The Giving Tree Band @ George’s Majestic Lounge

This is a late post, but I promise you it’s worth the wait. At the end of April, one of my favorite Bluegrass/Americana band made a stop in Fayetteville, AR at George’s Majestic Lounge. It had been close to two years since I first experienced The Giving Tree Band live. It had been way too long.

They opened for Dirtfoot at George’s the night of April 27th. There was a small crowd, but the set was still so magical. Their charisma on stage was what drew me in on the first place, and an album and a few new band members later, I can tell you they just keep getting better. Roger Waters @ Toyota Center

Last night, I had the opportunity to see Roger Waters, bassist and vocalist for legendary classic rock group Pink Floyd, for the third time. First, I caught the Dark Side Of The Moon tour when it hit Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion several years back, next when Waters brought The Wall to Houston for the first time two years ago, and finally last night with another go-around of The Wall at the Toyota Center. While mostly the same as the first time, Waters changed the show up just enough to keep me enthralled again.
