Just thought I would share with all you lovely BOT-fans this weirdly entertaining video, which I happened to stumble upon. Anyone who has checked out Justice's first album, "Cross", can agree that this track, "D.A.N.C.E.", is a tad different from the rest of the album. Enjoy.

And a brief reminder - Justice will be playing at Stubbs Barbecue in Austin on the 3rd of March (along with DJ Mehdi and Fancy Doors). Anyone who's been to Stubbs can agree that it's a pretty chill spot (better than the majority of venues in Austin).

The last time Doughnut (sans Coffee) had been to the Warehouse Live Ballroom was to check out Yonder Mountain String Band. The scene was hippy, the air was funky, and the eyes were glassy. Not so much for Thursday night’s The Bravery show. Doughnut, Coffee, and two close friends (let’s call them essential condiments) wandered into the ballroom of this all-ages show to be greeted by a wide array of fans. The Bravery have enjoyed some high profile exposure with their hits from their self-titled album, their tours with U2 (yeesh), Smashing Pumpkins (pre- or post-Iha?), and Incubus (righteous, bro), and their lust for life and liquor, both on and off stage. Let’s just say they won’t be partying with Jay-Z, The Killers, or Bono anytime in the future.

Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings hadn’t graced Houston in 4 years, yet they definitely made their mark on the 25th of January in Houston, Texas. The Doughnut and Coffee shuffled their way over to Walter’s on Washington that night, and were genuinely impressed. As they squeezed into the ramshackle dive of a venue, they were greeted with Jones’ vocals belting through. Before long, it was difficult not to step away from the bar, push in closer to the small stage, and capture a little more of Jones’ old-school rhymes and funky tunes.
