I know what you're thinking--Jack Johnson? Headlining? I was a bit startled myself, but perhaps not as much as the the folks over at Pitchfork -- they seem to have absolutely no love for the bronzed pied piper of sorority girls. Rumors are circulating that he'll also be headlining (along with Radiohead) All Points West, the east coast spin-off of Coachella that's set to take place August 8-10 in Jersey City, NJ.
Tickets for Coachella go on sale Friday, January 25. Three-day passes are $269; one-day passes are $90.

Ouch
I thinking more like fuck, $269!!! I know there are a lot of great acts but jebus, I could buy you an XBOX 360 for that much. LOL, but really, thats recockulous!!!
Re: Ouch
I know, right. It's more expensive than last year, and the line-up isn't quite as strong. Wakarusa, here I come.
Agreed
The price to stay out in the baking sun on a polo field in Cali paying for overpriced Fiji 'Artesan' beverages while watching Lindsay Lohan try to bed Roger Waters because she just loves that "Money" song is appealing, but man this whole comeback revival, regrouping, or whatever you want to call it is just weak.
And what top 100 list did the promoters mutilate to get this lineup? Do you really want to see an intimate band such as Portishead with 100,000 other sweaty folks, most of whom are still fresh off that Jack Johnson extended set? Yeah, we know you love that Posters song. Get over yourself, brah.
I know this is a rant, but Coachella can, and should do better. That being said, there will probably make some cool, trippy t shirts for it though.
Amen
I'd actually love to see Portishead, but...at Coachella? Think I'll pass.
Then again, maybe Paris Hilton will show up again this year, and how exciting would that be? Worth the $269, I'd say.
(Kidding, of course.)
Last year I was super-psyched when the line-up came out, but this year left me a bit underwhelmed. Coachella, you're slippin'!
Meh
