Outside Lands 2008 In Videos
After spending the weekend regularly checking the updates on Live Music Blog, Hidden Track, and Coventry Music & Phish Blog, which all featured quality content throughout the weekend, I realized that I should have been in San Francisco for the inaugural Outside Lands. Hell, the only reason we chose to stay here is because My Morning Jacket were stopping in Austin on Sunday, and we aren't too fond of passing up the opportunity to see their show when it comes around. Thank goodness for high quality point-and-shoot cameras, and festival-goers who forgo that seventh beer so they can keep a steady hand, because they captured a whole bunch of great videos to share with the world!

There were several other videos that I could have posted, by these were my favorites. Unfortunately, everybody was too fucked up to record anything at Widespread Panic, but from what I hear their set was smoking. They even had a guest spot from super-sexy Asian violinist Ann Marie Calhoun, who also sat in with them at ROTHBURY
Stereogum and Pitchfork have already posted their photos, but they always seem to neglect anything that isn't indie. If you want to get your fix of heady jam-band shots, stay tuned to Jambase as I am sure they will post something soon.

Outside Lands
Yo Eggs, I agree, this fest would have been amazing to go to, especially since I would've had a free place to crash courtesy of my sister. I have one gripe tho, how can you have Panic be playing the last day of the fest and not close it down?! I mean, really?! Jack Johnson over Panic, to close?! No disrespect to Jack cuz I love him, but Panic, the vibe, and the atmosphere they bring is so much better suited to have as a closing set. Just my opinion, but overall, great fest, if they can put together a lineup just as good or better, I'm there!!
Stay sunny side up dude,
cold pizza
I made your list of favs
Hey, just stopping in to say that's my Cold War Kids vid at the top. I have a busted ankle so most of my videos from the festival are from the disabled persons' platform. Great view, great sound, a little far away. It definitely looks farther in the videos than in person.
Hoping they do this again next year. Definitely an annual event worth putting on the calendar.
Cheers,
Tim
