Wakarusa 2008 Initial Artist Announcement!

Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival announced its initial line-up today. Topping the bill are festival mainstays The Flaming Lips, making their second headlining gig at the Lawrence, Kansas festival. Many Wakarusa alumni such as the one-man extraordinaire Keller Williams, newly re-united Leftover Salmon, New Orleans funk band Galactic and up-and-coming electro-rock group Lotus are making an appearance, while new-to-the-festival acts like mandolin pioneer David Grisman, hip-hop stalwarts Blackalicious, soul stylist Betty LaVette and indie-pop act Dr. Dog round out the list.

Read on for the initial artists.
