I had a chance to sit down with Junior League backstage before their February 1st show at the Black Cat. I was greeted in the bar with a big hug from Lissy and brought backstage where I met Martin, Eli, Will, Alex, and Dale. They were a laid-back bunch and ready to talk about their roots, their music, and what they see in their future — and they were extremely patient with this first-time interviewer as well.

Hola amigos! Things have been a bit hectic here in the District, what with this trite little election and a mind-blowing/numbing presidential budget, but I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to a couple of D.C. bands: Junior League and Shortstack. It was my first time going to the Black Cat, and my first time interviewing a band (A Conversation With...Junior League) so I headed to the bar, met up with a friend and headed upstairs to hear some music.
