Just a quick update to give all you Midwest BOTheads an idea of what's going on "locally".

Built To Spill and Meat Puppets at The Madrid in Kansas City, MO. Ticket's will run you $20 for this St. Patty's day gig with a start of 8PM.

56 Hope Road, Polydypsia and Andrews Ave. at Box Awesome here in Lincoln, NE. What a horrible name for a bar, but it does bring in good acts from time to time. I can't find out how much the cover is, but it's probably about $5-$10. The show starts at 9PM.

I always feel the need to bring you as much local content as I possibly can, and in my quest to do so, I recently ran into an instrumental band by the name of The Machete Archive. The trio caught my eye when a buddy of mine introduced me to them at a local battle of the bands held at The State Theatre here in Lincoln. I was quite skeptical waiting through a few mediocre bands, but The Machete Archive wouldn't disappoint. I obviously wasn't the only one who felt this way as they won a spot in the finals on March 7th.

The Machete Archive is from Lincoln, NE. The three piece instrumental group drew me in after winning a spot in the local battle of the bands last weekend.
