Wakarusa Artist Additions Round 1

Things were looking quite grim for the Wakarusa Music & Camping Festival after the disastrous finish to last year's events, but the decision to scale the festival back and move it to a new location seems to have given this yearly event a new lease on life. Today, several acts were added to the four-day northern Arkansas event, including the acoustic hip-hop blues of G. Love & Special Sauce, Hasidic-reggae superstar Matisyahu and all-around weirdo/bass genius Les Claypool. BOT favorites New Monsoon have also been added for what will be their fifth consecutive appearance at Wakarusa.

Widespread Panic, Les Claypool and more at Bonnaroo. Jack Johnson no longer Headlining!

Bonnaroo recently lost a major artist in The Allman Brothers when they bowed out due to health-related issues. Earlier in the week, when they released that announcement, they also laid mention that there would be a big artist announcement on Thursday. The Led Zeppelin rumors immediately began to fly once more, sending message boards and other websites into a flurry up until midnight last night. Unfortunately those "Dazed and Confused" Brits did not make it on the bill, but instead Bonnaroo added a few familiar faces with Widespread Panic and Les Claypool, as well as some up-an-coming noise makers that we will all soon know and love.
