ACL 2010 Line-Up
Submitted by eggs on Tue, 05/18/2010 - 16:04.
In what is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated American music events running, the Austin City Limits Music Festival has officially announced its line-up for the 2010 edition. Topping the bill this year are classic easy-rockers The Eagles, newly crowned British music royalty Muse and BOT-favorite Phish. Ya, that's right, Phish. Hell yes! Also set to hit the stages in Austin's Zilker Park over the weekend of October 8-10 are an assortment of iPod-popular groups including The Strokes, The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, Spoon, Band Of Horses, Monsters Of Folk, The National, The Black Keys, Yeasayer, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Local Natives among a whole bunch more.

ACL Says No to Dust Storms
Submitted by cereal on Tue, 02/24/2009 - 23:05.Zilker Park, the site of the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival, is basically a large, not very well-watered field, which is fine for a modest number of visitors flipping around frisbees, but can quickly turn into a particle-filled nightmare for large crowds. ACL Sunday has become synonymous with 'dust storm' because after two consecutive days of 65,000 people tromping across the grounds, the last day of the festival is inevitably filled with throat-clogging gusts of dirt and wind. All of which then causes you to sneeze up curious-looking gunk for about three days afterward and wonder why you continue to return to ACL every year. Well, no need to fret any longer – by the looks of it, the ground conditions of the park will be improved in time for the 2009 edition.

Austin City Limits Music Festival 2008 - Saturday in Review
Submitted by breakfast on tour on Fri, 10/03/2008 - 15:40.After a great night's rest, we were at it again. Saturday, September 27th at the Austin City Limits Music Festival featured a slew of acts that we had never experienced live before, and also a few favorites that always provide a good time. Fleet Foxes, The Fratellis, Bavu Blakes, Jose Gonzalez, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, CSS, Man Man, Erykah Badu, Spiritualized, John Fogerty, Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Beck all played a part in providing the soundtrack for our day's events. Later that night, we found ourselves on Austin's famed 6th Street jumping from Man Man's aftershow at Emo's Outdoor to the Parish Room for our most highly anticipated set of the weekend, the Band Of Horses 'secret' show.

ACL 2008 Aftershows Announced
Submitted by cereal on Wed, 08/13/2008 - 11:40.The Austin City Limits Music Festival released their lineup of official aftershows today. The schedule includes several bands that are involved in major set conflicts during the festival (for us, anyway), so it's great to see that we'll have another opportunity to catch them during the weekend. Besides, what's a festival without a little late-night action?
