The last time I heard Sweet Caroline, I was with my buddy Mike. We were in New Orleans shortly after katrina during the recovery. At any rate, there were a couple of bars open and so we went our one night and just got lit up like you wouldn't imagine. The next morning we went to a La Madeline to grab something to eat and Mike felt sick so he went to the bathroom. He was gone a while and I went to the bathroom to check on him. As i walked into the bathroom, he was on the floor with his head in the toilet puking. As I went to say are you okay, i heard the chorus for Sweet Caroline on the radio. he says nothing to me, lifts his head as he is puking and pukes the "ba ba duh duhhh" part whith the song...pretty freaking amazing.

I need to go to this concert...

This next song, I wrote after I killed a drifter to get an erection

The last time I heard Sweet Caroline wasn't too long ago actually. My sister, a friend named Jes, and I had been out for the night when we decided to stop by a 24 hour diner called The Kettle in Conroe. It was in the wee hours of the morning and the place was full of truckers, rednecks, etc. Jes had had a few too many beers by now and went to the restroom after ordering his food. A couple of minutes later, we hear someone singing kind of loud "When it began, I can't begin to know when..." We turn around and it's Jes, and we immediately bust into laughter, and thinking that's all he'll sing and then sit down.
He continues to sing the song while walking toward my sister like he's singing to her, all the while getting louder and louder. When he gets to my sister, he reaches the chorus and is pointing to her while singing still. He's in full singing mode, arms extended out like he's singing to a packed arena. By this time, the rednecks were tired of his singing and yelling at him "Shut the hell up, boy! Sit yer ass down." He refused to stop singing or sit down until he finished the entire song. I wish we had it on video. We were in tears!

Was heading to Houston to check on my mom's place after Hurricane Ike and decided a Lemon Berry sluch was in order so pulled into Sonic and not liking the song on their speakers cranked up my bose system. Being a Neil fan for many years of course he was in the slot and SC was on I was singing away and I heard the couple in the PU truck next to me getting louder and louder about the last Sweet...Caroline I heard a damm why you do that. When I looked over the girl has thrown her miklshake in the face of the guy and she was yelling you think she was sweet try this one on. She then proceeded to get out of the truck smear her cheesy tots all over the windsheild and the remainder of her chili cheese dog flat in the middle of the hood.
As she stomped off she was yelling Screw Caroline, don't think I will ever be able to hear that song agin without singing Screw Caroline, better be careful at family type functions I guess

p.s. The guy came over after she left and not so gracefully thanked me for ruining his life....seems his ex-girlfriend was named Caroline!!

I am a 19 year old college student and the last time I heard Sweet Caroline, I was being out-danced by a group of old ladies! I was standing there doing my thing and I turned around to see 6 or so lively ladies rocking out like there was no tomorrow. They were really getting into it, jumping up and down, clapping, and singing at the top of their lungs. I even saw a few 'rock-on' signs!
